Rudy is such a loving dog. He wags his tail at everyone he meets. He doesn't seem to have an aggressive bone in his body. (Unlike tbogg's Beckham.) That doesn't mean he always listens to his Daddy. He sometimes still fights going into his crate at night and when I leave for work. He's doing better with that, though. And he still gets in Emme's face a little too much, though he's doing better with that, too.
I sometimes wonder whether Rudy didn't get enough interaction with other dogs when he was younger. Maybe he never learned the cues dogs send to each other to suggest what they want the other dog to do. Rudy is never the first dog to back away when we meet another pooch on our walks. He sniffs and/or licks until the other dog's owner or I end the encounter. And there have been times when it's been stunningly obvious to me that the other dog had had enough of Rudy's nosiness, but Rudy didn't seem to get it. And the other dog snarled, and Rudy seemed surprised. But still happy. :)
On to the dog pix:
Ew, I didn't realize my love seat was so dirty until I looked closely at this next photo.
This one's a little out of focus, but doesn't Emme look like a sweet little angel?
