David Mead's latest CD is as deliciously pleasing as its namesake fruit. It's more richly textured instrumentally than his last full-length CD, the brilliant Indiana. Tangerine starts out with the title song, a jaunty little ditty whose only lyrics are "ah"s. My other favorite songs are "Hallelujah, I Was Wrong," "Suddenly a Summer Night," and "Choosing Teams," but they're all good. You can listen to four songs from the album, including "Choosing Teams," at Mead's MySpace page.
